My Diving adventures beneath the waves.

An Introduction.

John as Shark-bait.

My first love was the sea, what creatures lived in this vast expanse of water>? As an introduction and to whet your appetite, read the following post of one such adventure.

Shark-bait.

I was miles from Our Biosphere in Canada, a thousand miles out in the middle of the Indian Ocean, diving on the coral reefs of the Chagos Archipelago, On this particular dive I was working at 80 feet collecting coral samples. When I was tapped on my arm, thinking it was the shark-guard, I turn around only to be confronted by a White-Tip shark, nosing my wetsuit jacket. Without thinking I banged the shark on the snort with by coral hammer. The shark-guard took a picture, and commented later “John it was only a little shark about five feet long”.

I hasten to add that sharks have taste buds on the snout.
