A View from My Armchair.

Our Home and Garden, Part 1.

My Lazy-boy armchair faces a picture window (with its back to the television) and overlooks the front garden. Just across the road a canyon’s wall or escarpment is clothed by a vertical Aspen Forest right up to the canyons’ rim.

A View from my Armchair.

Our front garden faces south and is ideally placed for our bird recording station. Two mature spruce trees encourage the birds, particularly the insectivorous. Along with various feeders and a birdbath. We also have a number of mammals that come to visit.

To date, we have documented 167 bird species, four deer species, ten squirrel species, two bear species, and numerous other smaller mammals, not to mention the thousands of insects, all within our own small section of the globe.
